Cue the confetti—it’s time to celebrate your engagement with a session that’s all about you two! This is your chance to soak in the joy of being fiancés, have some fun together, and get comfy in front of the camera before the big day. If this is your first time having professional photos taken as a couple, figuring out what to wear can feel a little overwhelming. Don’t worry—I’ve got you! Let’s make this easy and fun with a few of my favorite tips:

 

 

 

✨ Patterns vs. Solids

Patterns are a great way to add personality to your look—but if both of you wear bold patterns, it can get a little too busy in photos. So here's the golden rule: if one of you rocks a pattern (like florals or stripes), the other should keep it simple with a solid.

 

✨ Stick to the Classics

Neutrals are always in style. Think: white, ivory, tan, black, or gray. These shades photograph beautifully and let you be the focus. Trust me—timeless always wins.

 

✨ Ditch the Matchy-Matchy

Wearing the exact same color as your partner? Cute in theory, not so much in photos. Go for complementary tones instead—it adds depth and looks way more elevated. You’ll be glad you did!

 

✨ Steam It, Baby

I can fix a lot in post... but a wrinkled shirt? Not so much. Give your outfits a quick steam or iron the night before. And if you're worried about wrinkling in the car, bring your outfit along and change when you arrive—we’ll build in time for that.

 

✨ Pack a Touch-Up Bag

Just a few small things can go a long way:

• Hair brush or comb
• Hairspray
• Lipstick or gloss
• Nail glue (for any rogue press-ons!)

 

✨ Come Ready to Have FUN

This is the best part: you get to laugh, snuggle, dance, and just be you. Don’t worry about posing—that’s my job. All you need to do is show up, tune out the wedding planning to-dos, and enjoy this time together. I’ll guide you every step of the way.
